P + (5E) + (3H) for unlimited Joy

Is this the mathematical formula for happiness? Occupational Psychologist Carol Rothwell claims this formula she developed is just that. To reach a state of happiness you need personal traits (P) such as adaptability, outlook on life and resilience. Add to that your 'existence needs' (E) such as health, friends and money as well as your 'higher needs' (H), such as a sense of humour, self esteem and ambitions.
It isn't as straight forward as that though. Falling in love loomed larger in men's sense of happiness than in women's. Spending time with family was the most important sense of happiness for women in a survey of 1000 people, followed by a good holiday, sunshine and dieting. Men were most cheered up by a good holiday and sporting victories.
Scots ranked giving money to charity more than twice as high in their sense of happiness than the national average.

E-Cards

Due to the success of the Christmas card area we have developed a whole page of e-cards in the student area.

Last Newsletter Puzzle - Answer

Divide the face of the clock into three parts with two lines so that the sum of the numbers in the three parts are equal.

The total of the numbers is 78, hence the three sections each need to add up to 26. Draw the two lines so the three sections contain (11, 12, 1, 2), (9, 10, 3, 4) and (5, 6, 7, 8).
