Boffin Squad in TES this Friday
Further to our last newsletter have a look at Times Educational Supplement this
Friday – OK not the best edition to be in, considering everyone leaving for
their holidays. There is a section on the Boffin Squad. Further to that it was
good to hear the positive feedback about the site. To those who were spooked by
their pupils on Ask Fletch, the is secret below – to get the other pupils
back!!!!
Spook your friends!
This information does not appear anywhere on the Boffin Squad website so keep it
SECRET. Go to
Ask Fletch.
Ask nicely. Type any keys and the same words appear in the top
box whatever you type. Type in any question and an answer will appear.
NOW FOR THE TRICK. Think of a question you are going to ask a friend, where
you know the answer!! Where you Ask nicely, type in .answer to
your question. The Full stops are important before and after your answer
(one before and one after). It will appear that you are typing in the Ask
nicely to someone viewing the screen. After the second full stop you can keep
pressing any key, to make it look as though you are continuing typing. Then
type in the question. Magically Fletch will give the correct answer and astound
your friends!!! If they ask you to type a question that you don’t know, then
just type in the information requested and you will get Fletch answering
normally.
Remember – this isn’t on the website anywhere – so keep it to yourself!! Now go
and amaze your friends, other teachers and pupils – it is the end of term!!
